In honor of World Blood Donor Day, Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Social and Educational Society and the Red Cross Society arranged a blood donation drive to get the city’s youth and residents involved in this admirable cause.
The Red Cross Society and their qualified staff will collect the blood. The camp was held on June 14, 2020, at District Hospital in Almora. It was sponsored by the Red Cross Society of Almora and organized by Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Social and Educational Society. A group of doctors, paramedics, and volunteers were stationed at the donation site to guarantee a secure and clean camp that adhered to all Covid standards set by the Uttarakhand government.
While everyone adhered to stringent screening procedures and good laboratory practices for testing, processing, and collecting blood, donors' details were carefully recorded by the volunteers, proper thermal screening was done at the entrance of the camp, and sanitizer and hand wash necessities were also kept to make the camp corona-free. More than 60 volunteers from various areas of the city participated in large numbers in the project.
