Under the sponsorship of some of our kind benefactors, Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Social and Educational Society in Almora has extended its food distribution campaign through selected volunteers and people who have been working around the clock to make sure that no one in the district goes hungry. The SBK Society launched projects to offer food to the disadvantaged who have been most impacted by the ongoing health and financial problems after the pandemic and ensuing statewide lockdown.
Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Social and Educational Society, Almora, launched food relief measures for migrant workers, daily wage employees, and families who are dependent on daily employment and earnings under the programme known as “Sukha Ration Distribution Drive.”
One day Health camps are the basic model of healthcare delivery that can help improve health gap in vulnerable populations and individuals living in rural and remote areas at their doorsteps. A pool of doctors / Technicians lead these camps and provides services like OPD, basic health checkups, consultations, free Medicines etc. In case of some suspicious cases, in patients are also referred to hospitals for full diagnose and treatment. All these services are free for the people visiting the camps.
