DR. KARAN KARNATAK
Soon after receiving his education he teamed up with Haidakhan Charitable trust in small town of Ranikhet, Almora, Uttarakhand, where he served as the dental surgeon for more than 4 years. After realising the condition of oral health and general health in his native place he decided to educate people especially rural population about the importance of oral health and general health and motivates him to move to his hometown. He voluntarily joined Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Society. The society has organized various general health awareness camps, specialized camps, ENT camps, Dental Camp, blood donation camps and various pathology services under the direction and leadership of Dr Karnatak in various remote villages of the Kumaon hills and brought in a massive improvement in Oral and Dental Health of specially the Senior Citizens and smokers of the place.
By organizing different health awareness camps and increasing cases of oral cancer some of his camp attendees have even quitted smoking ‘Bidi’ and chewing tobacco, which results in increased awareness for brushing their teeth and other oral cares. Besides, being a profound Medical Practitioner, Dr Karnatak has a sports enthusiast. He plays cricket and support young aspirants to make career in sports. He also has a great interest in role plays and thus he takes part in famous Ramleela of Almora. He joined Shri Badrinath Kedarnath society with an aim to offer his services in the field of health and welfare and promote young aspirant to achieve their goals.
PRIYANKA TIWARI
Priyanka Tiwari holds a Masters degree in Technology in Computer Science and with further degree in Law. She believes that Internet and technology driven development makes work more efficient and therefore she is focused on promoting information technology enabled education and work system. She nurtures a keen interest in designing and implementing information sharing and advocacy strategies to raise awareness among the society. Priyanka, has an extensive experience of over 6 years in research and development sector. She is presently looking after fundraising and IT management of the organisation.
DEVENDRA PRASAD KARNATAK
Shri Devendra Prasad karnatak is a seasoned human who has first- hand knowledge has given his services as the Administrative Officer in the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand. Coming from the department of social welfare and after working for over 30+years he took voluntary retirement from services, as he is well aware of the need of the present system. He deems that cultural conservation is one of the most important key for social development of communities. He with his heartiest closeness to the culture of Uttarakhand aims to conserve the Local languages, festivals and tradition, the famous Ramleela of kumaon.
ROHIT KUMAR SHAILY
Mr Shaily is working as a General Secretary in Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Social and Educational Society. He is working for the development of underprivileged people belonging to schedule tribe and scheduled caste in the area. His primary aim to join the organization is to promote education among the targeted population; He also wishes to improve the socio-economic status of the poor and illiterate targeted population by providing generating avenues for self employment.
PRAMOD KUMAR TIWARI
Pramod Kumar Tiwari, is a retired Account Officer from the department of Panchayat Raj, Government of Uttarakhand with over 25 years of experience. He is one of the members of executive committee of the organization. Living his major years in the kumaon hills he is well acquainted with the culture and traditions of Uttarakhand. His belief in the famous proverb “Jal hai to kal hai”, motivated him to join the society post retirement and work for the rejuvenation of the traditional rain water harvesting techniques in hills. Presently he is a deputy Secretary of the society.
DR. SHASHANK TIWARI
Dr. Shashank Tiwari has been committed to fighting rural poverty and studied Medicine to equip himself with the skills and knowledge to serve in this endeavor. Dr. Tiwari witnessed first-hand how less fortunate his countrymen were without access to health care and diagnostics facilities since childhood. Recently in his formative years, dedicated his life to being a pillar of humanity to bridge the gaps that India finds herself without the resources and money; dedicating his work to empowering young kids with access to a good education. He recognized the need to work in various domains that supported environmental benefits- from call-to-action campaigns to public healthcare initiatives like free health camps for disadvantaged children. He is on a mission to revolutionize healthcare practices and advocate for technical education. He has been an integral contributor in the health associated events conducted by the society and also coordinates all the educational programmes.
PRADEEP JOSHI
